Innovative Health Care Projects
Over the last few years, Scotler has launched and contributed to a number of innovative projects in the field of health care.
In 2009, Scotler, an increasingly innovative company that is in touch with the market, embarked on a strategy of diversification in its services and solutions, sharing its IT expertise with the medical world by creating multimedia terminals for hospitals under the Scotler-registered trademark “Care and Comfort”.
These customizable solutions (hardware, medical/multimedia software and services) are a genuine working resource for nursing staff but also provide the patient with a connection to the wider world. Five thousand beds in France and international locations have already been fitted with the terminals.
Through Care and Comfort, Scotler is a member of Clubster Santé (“Innovating together”), a network of over 200 health care businesses in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France.
Over the last three years or so, around fifty of these businesses have joined forces to work on innovative health care infrastructure projects. 2012 saw the introduction of the hospital room of the future; in 2013, it was the turn of the innovative ambulatory unit; and in 2014, the next generation of care homes for seniors was launched.
Eight of these businesses, including Scotler, joined forces as a single company, Clinifit – with Olivier Vercaemst, CEO of Scotler, as its Chairman – to promote and market the hospital room of the future. Seven of these rooms have already been installed at the Grand Hôpital de Charleroi in Belgium (watch the video here).
